大家对螨虫都不陌生，寄居在皮肤上的螨虫，可能会引发多种常见的皮肤疾病，包括脂溢性皮炎，痤疮，酒糟鼻，口周皮疹等。但很多人不知道的是，眼睛里也可能“住”着螨虫。
92年的小欣（化名）眼睛反复红痒，就如同这杭州的雨，绵延不断，持续了一个多月。小欣开始是在药店配了一些治疗结膜炎的眼药水，以为很快就会好的，但没想到不但没有好，眼睑皮肤都出现了溃烂......
“到底是得了什么病？”“为什么用药后还是反复眼红？”，带着这样的疑问，小欣来到浙江省眼科医院之江院区就诊，干眼门诊董医生接诊后经过仔细检查发现：小欣的睫毛上沾了很多像蜡烛油一样的分泌物，如同袖套一样包裹着睫毛根部，而且眼睑皮肤溃烂，这不是普通结膜炎会有的症状。
董医生拔了小欣的几根睫毛，发现了真正的罪魁祸首——通过光学显微镜看到有四五条蠕形的虫子，正沿着她的睫毛缓缓爬动，正是这些蠕形螨的出没引起了“睑缘炎”，才出现反复眼红、眼痒等症状。临床诊断为:1.蠕形螨性睑缘炎2.睑缘炎相关角结膜病变（BKC），并予以对症治疗。
蠕形螨有两种可寄居于人体，即毛囊螨和皮脂螨。在眼部，毛囊螨常寄居于睫毛囊，而皮脂螨多寄居于眼睑皮肤的皮脂腺和睑板腺。它们通过产卵、排泄废物和分泌物导致过敏反应，并在人体免疫系统变弱时引起眼部感染。
正常人眼睛里可能也有螨虫，当寄居的蠕形螨达到一定的数量，就有可能引起蠕形螨感染性睑缘炎。
